Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) How many miles on injectors?

I have 181,000 miles on my original injectors. Is this crazy? My friend tells me I'd better pull them and have them checked, else I'm a gonna toast that rear cylinder one day.



Truck runs fine, blows no smoke and gets what I think is reasonable fuel mileage (18 mpg running 65-70, 4x4, auto)

If it were mine, I'd just run it.

I changed mine out at around 517k miles. They were still working fine except so much fuel had been pumped through them that the holes had enlarged and I was getting smoke like I had 370s. Only about 218k on the replacements and they are just fine.

I have about 968,000 on the original injectors. I think i will be looking for some new or rebuilds. has a slight miss untill it warms up. stormy

Don't worry about them, unless you plan to upgrade to aftermarket.

Well over 400kmiles on my original injectors, no problems.
