Almost sounds like launch shudder... do a search.

I just put 14. 934 on mine 05. Just finished a 1000mile trip yesterday. I did not shut her down at all that whole trip and she preformed flawless.

EDIT: I was towing a Grand Prix about 700miles of the trip.

33K on mine, launch shutter when hooked up to the 5er, installed the air bags and solved that problem. No other problems.

Only 8K miles so far but I like it much better than the modified 47RE I had in my 2nd gen. Plenty of towing power and in tow/haul it gets off the line much better with my 5th wheel behind than my previous truck.

I will hit 53K tomorrow. I have run the EZ, RAMifier, Quadzilla and the Juice. I have never abused the truck (OK maybe once against a Powerstroke ) If your significant other is going to run it stock you will never have a problem as long as you do the maintenance.

13500 on my 05 3500 dually. Zero problems. Pulled a 15K 40' 5thwheel about 1000 miles of that so far.

Curious: Does the Edge chip allow transmission shift or lock-up changes?

66,000 on the first transmission, 5000 on the second one and needs rebuilt again. I'm going with a bad rebuild on the second one. I tow heavy and hard 95% of the miles driven with 70% of those stoplight to stoplight. Hard on the transmission. I had 90K on my NV4500 towing the same way. Clutch wasn't even slipping when I sold it.

I have 20k on my 05 with the 48RE and Its jerking in 2nd gear. Seems like its slips alot and always hesatating. I also have the quad xzillarader, afe intake, and strait pipe w/aeroturbine.

Not sure if the quadbox killed the transmission with my crappy driving or i just got a bad transmission... goes to the stealership thursday!

This is my 1st auto and I dont recommend it. Just my 2 cents.

99,200 Runs fine when the computer does not show a code for a bad solenoid. Then the truck is in some kind of limp mode. The good news is it is only a $100 fix and most DIY's can fix. The part is on order, new fluid is in the garage, waiting on the weekend.

My Stick did this until I had the driveshaft and all joints replaced.

It would have been just the driveshaft but the dealer screwed up the U-J install.

Others have had it corrected with shims for driveline angle.

31,000 no problems. Towing 12,500lb boat trailer summer months in the new england rolling hills. Plowing during the winter. Full service due this week.

48re fluid change

67k, no problems... Changed fluid @ 35k, and added a Mag-Hytec transmission pan. Pull a 13k fiver...

Did you change all of the fluid at 35k or just drop the pan and replace the 6 to 7 qts that drains out? I'm due my first change 30k and tow 14k 5th wheel about half that milage. Never overheated and the fluid looks and smell ok. . What do you guys recommend? Also if all the fluid is changed what is the approx. cost a shop should charge? I'm presently in Arizona. . Thanks Bill

The dealer I used only dropped the pan and chaged the fluid. Cost was around 163. 00 . I would opt to use a independent shop that will flush it all out . Just make sure they use factory approved fluid
