I have 62k on mine. Installed edge comp no problems. But when I put the Mach 1. 6 edm's in it will slip fairly easy. Trying to take it easy, but have a six speed on hand and will be installing a Southbend 13" in the future. I do pull a trailer occasionally max wt around 12k plus truck.

I only reprogram using Superchips and have 96,000 on OEM clutch. Have made it slip 3 times enough to smell the clutch but seems to be going fine. All 3 times happened on extreme uphill angle. 2 putting trailer on concrete pad I park the trailer on here at home and once in Santa Fe after getting of freeway on the way to a KOA.

I got 170,000 on mine with 275RV injectors and have only slipped the stock clutch once trying to get myself unstuck from a sand pit that my dumb ***** drove into thinking i had a quad... . boy was I wrong lol! Anyways I am getting an edge comp so we will see if it continues to hold up.

I am easy on the clutch but i drive the truck like i stole it. Even when i tow my car i stand on the loud pedal. Randy

Yea, that's how I am.

Problem is, I want the stock cluch to die, so I can put in the camplate that's been on the shelf in the garage for 2 years.

Guess I should just put it in and see what happens. :-laf

I have 161,000+ turns on my stock clutch now. Still holds with no problems even though the truck has been modded as shown in my signature. :)

Just replaced mine last week, 99,600 on a stock truck, it had about 50% left, a few small hot spots on the clutch and pressure plate, and the springs were a little loose. replaced because the engine had to come out for a new crankshaft, and I figured it was just cheaper to do it now.

Friend I bought the truck from has an '03 with 250k or so, all stock. we both tow

heavy trailers.

75K miles and still going

I have 75K miles on my '02. I installed the TST PM3 adjustable, DDIIs and 4" exhaust at around 2K miles. Clutch is still hanging in there w/ almost 400 hp to the ground. I do rev out to 2500 most of the time when shifting and to 3,000 when towing 17K lb 5th wheel. Clutch has never slipped.

Just in case it ever goes south, I have a Southbend Clutch Con Ofe ready to install.

I've got 77,000 on my factory clutch. Looking to get a new one this spring. I slipped it pretty good last summer at a truck pull. 4th gear and low. It couldn't hold the power, probly operator error too.

But it seems to be doing fine, hasn't really slipped since. I just need an excuse for the wife. :-{}

Thinking about the SBC 550 hp/1100 ftlb

278,000 0n orginal factory clutch stock 97 single wheel truck---150,000 on current 02 dual wheel factory clutch with ez and rv 275 since new-slipped clutch once on high setting at install time backed off to middle setting with no fruther slippage. tow gooseneck and dozer 27k-28k infrequently with no problem-tow gooseneck and load with 15k-17k frequently-always idle off from start and careful not to lug motor in high torque rpm range on hills. David

OK I installed my edge comp today and I officially am going to have to upgrade my clutch, on the highest setting it would slip so bad that the rpm's would jump from like 2200 to like 3000 with no change in speed and I know I wasnt spinning tires cause I was in 4 high on dry pavment in 4th gear going 45ish lol. I'm gonna call south bend and see about a double disc probably on monday.

I got a whopping 800 miles out of my stock clutch before i slipped the heck out of it. replaced it at 1800 miles :D Truck was "slightly" enhanced :-laf

the best part was the look on my neighbors face when he saw the transmission lying on the ground from a 2 month old truck. he thought i was nuts. He couldn't understand why i didn't take it back for warranty work. he was even more confused when i popped the head off a year later to oring it. then i took him for a ride and he understood.

I got about 160,000 out of my stocker and have since scattered 2 SBC Con "O" 's in the less than 4 years. Have a SBC OFE 13" on order. I was driving my Moms 99 when the stocker let go at about 125,000, the day that I had ordered a set DDII's. Go figure. Replaced with Con"O" lasted about 2 years then went with a OFE 13" and has held up well.

I'll be a little over 169K when my stocker gets replaced next week. That's 95% towing, about half thost miles grossing 30K+ lb. I was talking to Peter at SB the other day inquiring about which clutch I should go with. I told him what I tow and the miles on the stocker. His reply went something like, "Ok, you know how to drive a manual. " I giggled.

400,000 km on mine & being replaced along with a rebuilt 6sp. Towed alot of heavy stuff & never had a clutch problem. My problem is the cost of the rebuilt 6sp at over 5,000.

cheaper to replace one in a KW

200,100 miles on the factory clutch when the pilot bearing gave up. No problems until then. I float the transmission and never use the clutch except for launching.
