GTX something doesn't sound right. Not sure of all of your symptoms but changing out these two parts three times in 52k miles does not sound right.

I got 78k out of my VP44. 2nd one is doing fine at somewhere around 25k. 103k total on truck. Bombed since around 32k miles.

DavidTD,

At 32k the 1st injection pump died an ugly death. At 49k the 1st lift pump was replaced because it had low pressure. At 49,2 the 2nd injection replaced because it would it was hard to start. At 49,3 the 2nd lift pump replaced because the injection pump did not fix the hard to start problem. At 49,4 the injection pump and lift replaced. So yeah a couple of them were replaced because the tech didn't know what to do and convinced "STAR" to replace them. Sorry I should have clarified.

Last time It was loaded and had a hard pull it stumbled, dealer had to replace the 2nd APPS so I told them it stumbled again, "can't find anything". I have'nt pulled for awhile so we'll see if happen again next time I do.

Mystery oil

I ran into this fella at the pumps the other day,and he had 200,000 miles on his,and he claims he has never touched anything, all he does is add Marvel mystery oil every tank, about a half a bottle per 30 gallons,he said he has never changed the lift pump,or had any problems with the injector pump, and he said he pulled out the DD2 injectors he has and they were just as clean as when he put them in when his truck was new. Does anyone eles use this stuff??

I have 140,000 on my injector pump, have had a DD TTPM on since 40,000 along with DDIII's. I replaced the stock liftpump at 40,000 with a mallory and replaced the mallory with another mallory at 100,000k.
