21 Baby!

Had 3 Ice Chests stolen overnight while on vacation... GRRR!

USMC - 1976-1986. Medically retired as a SSGT (E6) as a result of a condition sustained while attending OCS.

AWCampbell - remember the smoker chant from bootcamp? ("kill, kill, blood makes the grass grow. ") Make sure you keep your head down and get the bad guys first - they need more grass in Iraq. :D Semper Fi

What condition is that? Hand cramps form choking those academy dip dunks? :-laf

That was the best part of being a gator sailor, the Marines. We had Force Recon, ACE BLT, 15th ME(SOC), CE, BLT 1/9, MSSG 15 and MARCOMDET on board. We made a mess of things on liberty and whooped some serious *** in the Gulf!

Nobody get offended, this is just a joke: Do you know why the Navy has Marines on board ships?

It's too expensive to keep sheep :-laf

Nah - they don't need sheep. The Navy sails out of port with 300 men aboard, and returns with 150 couples. :-laf

Sheep; Marines-sometimes the same thing :-laf

Hell, when I was on my way out, they were putting women on board!

That would have made things a little different: like shellback initiation; berthing; etc.

I was an Army puke combat medic. Work with a couple of Marines... one had that shirt... . "Yes, the Marines ARE a department of the NAVY..... (the mens department) Thought that was funny.

Did you mean birthing instead of berthing? Seems on a long cruise there'd be alot of that going on. :D

Just went over twenty in the Chair Force working as aircraft guidance and control, bit the bullet yesterday for another four so I can get the next stripe. Been TDY all over the world doing different things with all four services and had a blast parting with them all, but you do have to watch out for the Navy guys :D

It did, it made it more of a PITA, people getting kicked out left and right for sleeping together, my first experience with this was the around the horn trip on the Connie in 93'. How about the Captain of an oiler that got asked the question... ..... why did you have 52 women get pregnant while on cruise(6 months).

Here it's not bad though, the girls work right along with everyone else and don't get special treatment, some of the best workers are Gals too... ... especial aircrewman that work for me on the road.

Hey Tom, I just moved from Dover in January. Was there for 4 years working in the Base Ops building (Weather). Not sure how you like it there but in my 17 years I will say that is the place that we disliked the most. Just didn't care for the area

One of my good friends, Tony Blodgett, is still there. He's an aircraft maintenance kind of guy. He bought an older f*rd diesel  :)

No doubt. You know the Navy went the right way introducing women to ships. They used Tailhook as an example and had everyone so scared to even look at the women, let alone treat them as a normal shipmate.

BBell I've been here going on seven years. Six of that was in AMXS, now I'm a flightline nazi (QA). We don't mind the area, it's a good place to raise a family. I volunteered for Korea to get my kids out of NM.

The guys I know in AMXS that are driving the Fords are at least driving the 7. 4, and wouldn't have anything to do with the 6. 0

This going back a few years, USAF 1965-1969, Radar Maintenance. Seems sooooo long ago! :) Some of the best years of my life, was a good experience.

I was active army 4 years in Ger. In National Guard since then. Got activated in June 2004, two weeks before ets, Damn stop loss. In Iraq right now. Just waiting to get home and get out.
