Jeep Cherokee problems

I've wanted a Siberian Husky for YEARS! Steve knows, I've teased about coming to get Nanuk in chat before!;) :p :-laf I've had a couple of opertunties to have one as well, and even had a long time g/f that almost went against my will and bought me one for Christmas last year(02). My plan for the past year had been that once I graduated from my college program next year I would finally buy myself a Husky as a present to myself for all my hard work. The reason that I was going to wait until I graduated was where I would have adiquite(sp?) time to devote to the dog. I want mine to be a housedog like Steve's, but also trained to where I can take him with me anywhere I want too.

Sadly I was forced out of my college program about 3 months ago now. I was in a automotive program that required certain amounts of hrs in various repair fields (brakes, transmission's, engines) and with me approaching my 2nd year of the 2 yr program I was far behind and my service manager at my co-op dealership said "tuff luck, I can't give you the hours" #@$%! :{

So I don't know when I'll be able to get my Husky, but I hope to someday soon.

Sorry for the long post, just needed to vent a little. :(

Wow! Since my first post we have acquired another Sammy,now almost two. This one is a Male (Lakota)and stands over one head taller than our Female (Casey), now 12. This dog is big. He weighs over 70 pounds and is much larger than the rest of his litter. His shedding is non-stop, but has miles of personality. These dogs can be trusted with the Kids and always have huge smile on their faces. Casey has always been neat and prissy, and Lakota usually is always covered in mud.

anyone elses husky very "talkative" i love it when i get home and he starts talking to me with his ears all the way back and hes running up to me giving me his paw... . these dogs are the best. . They always know when something is going on, they are very protective, very friendly and cozzie to master. Awesome dogs

My daughter has been after me to get one but she will be starting college next year so I don't know. We live in the country and have plenty of stickers around so that long hair would probably pick of alot. Had 4 dogs down to two now. One lab died of old age,the other got run over by my brother in law and had to be put to sleep. Got a cocker spaniel that stays full of stickers and one lab/golden retriever mix left.

best bite

When our youngest was in high school some young buck showed up unannounced to see her. Daughter let him in. Hidee sized up the situation, and took a bite of the dude! The daughter was not impressed that I fed Hidee steak for the next week!

I have 2 siberian husky mixed with german shepard. My girl has the husky pattern (dots over the eyes etc. . ), she's black and white with one blue eye and the other is like 3/4 brown, her name is Lady, my boy dog is off white (not white yet not tan..... off white???) and he has the longer fur. He looks more like a wolf his name is Diesel (yes what did you expect). They were both born in 1996. Man can they howl, cool to see them go into that wolf like stance and just "owooooooooh!". I love it cuz my neighbors dogs just bark, but when my dogs start singing you can't even hear the other dogs. Been having a problem with Diesel, he's been climbing out of our yard and his pen daily, and were talking some high walls he scailing so we have to leash him at night til we build a roof over their pen.

Oh yeah i had that problem with one of my huskies..... ran over the fence EVERY DAY :eek: . Hed always come back... . With the new huskie and new technologies we got gone with the invisible fence. (electrical fence) If he goes too close there is a simple BEEP BEEP BEEP to move back and if he goes about 12 inches from the fence he will get a little zap. Our huskie doesnt run away anymore. Now we just ran him down the street about 5 times a day so he gets that exercise.

Siberian Huskies are the greatest dogs... especially for raising a family with. We have 2 a male, Diablo, and a female, Dakota. They are both fantastic with kids, wouldn't hurt a fly. However, as most Husky fanatics know... terrible guard dogs. I read one time (and agree) that they would invite a burglar in and show them to the family jewels!!! We think sometimes, how nice it would be to have a dog you could just trust to go out in the backyard and come right back but wouldn't trade them for the world!

These 2 are complete members of the family, although they have to share a bed!

:D You hit it on the nose! These dogs love people, I was even warned by the woman we got ours from that they had people try to steal their dogs and it was basically just by calling the dogs to them. That's exactly how my dogs are, they love everyone, they want to meet everyone they see, they love to play with everyone that visits my house, they can be so funny at times.
