The 03 I just bought has 315K. paid 69 hundred add fees 7200. 00. 4X4 automatic 3500 dually. Everyone thinks its brand new. transmission rebiult 40K ago. But today ,in for an alignment. They wanted 32 hundred for upper lower BJ , inside tie rod ,new wheel bearings, and shock on stabilizer. I ordered the parts ,they were 1090. 00 . I will probrably do it myself, but not at all feeling buyer remorse. Payment on a left over 07 (29K) would be at least 600. But I like our "new" 03 so much, it doesn`t even so much as rattle going over the tracks and is super comfy to operate. Only problem is I thought the frame rails were like a C&C (upfitting to flatbed hoist body)but they are totally different. Oh well we can still order a Knapheid with bulhead to fit it. Will ball joints be that bad or should I hire it out ?

I bought a 2wd 5sp '03 with 200k on it for $7200 back in March. From a dealer belileve it or not! (RV dealer)

truck had a clean title and ran/drove perfect! had one little spot behind the RR tire, otherwise super clean in/out

two months ago I bought the '04 in my sig... it had 57k on it at the time. I got it for $17k with all of the mods on it.

You scored, I got mine with nothing other than the Bully Dog chip some wasted tires and 164K miles for 12. 5$, all the bells and whistles aside from factory nav system. I really like the heated seats

GardnerM,

On my 94 I had to replace my ball-joints a couple times in the 300k I had it. It is a pain if you don't have the necessary tools. My suggestion is to remove the piece that the ball joints are pressed into and then take them to a machine shop and have them press the old ones out and reinstall the new ones. The rest of assembly you will be able to do yourself. I used a reciprocating saw to cut the ball-joint stud off on the old ones to separate the steering knuckle from the hub. My. 05cents. Good luck!
