I think the sentence most likely to send a chill, and bring the bureau running would be " 500 (or more) rounds of . 50 cal". Pretty serious firepower in the right hands, heck even in the wrong hands.

Pretty wimpy here 200 or so . 270, 250 rds . 44mag, 300 rds 12ga

JJ

maybe 300 rounds

of 7 mag, and a box of 22 and a box of 12 gage but thats it, been on a few structure fires when the ammo starts splodin:eek: they dont go far, maybe a foot or two, one time during the mop up we went in the basement and this guy prolly had 2 or 3 pickup loads of guns and ammo :eek: gald they didnt catch, specially the powder kegs :{

hmmm...a little variety, I guess...

100+ of #7 1/2 shot for the 20G

about 300 of 8x57 for the Mauser (760 in 2 sealed cans "on the way" from InterOrdnance, once they get'em from Europe :mad: )

about 450 of . 303 British for the #4SMLE

about 320 of . 45LC for the Ruger and the 1866 replica to share

currently only 50 . 45ACP for the Ruger's other cylinder

12-1500 . 22LR... . I should stock up on those, since the kids shoot'em up like candy...

I kinda feel "underdressed" now, as well..... :{

need some reloading supplies for the . 45's and the 2 old WWII rifles... I keep saving brass, but I don't do anything with it

if it's 8x57Mauser (7. 92mm) for a Model 98 or newer (stronger than a same-caliber model 96 or previous) try these guys:

www.jgsales.com (stripperclipped in 5's in bandoleers of 70rd each)

or (currently out, but supposedly "this fall") www.interordnance.com (2 sealed cans of 380 in a crate--760rd/crate)... Mine have been ordered, but, not arrived yet. Still on the wrong side of the Atlantic.

500 rds of 8mm for my 3 k98k's

{matched 1938/mismatched 1944/1944}

brick for my Ruger 10/22

150 rds for my Dan Wesson 10" . 44

and i plan to go on a buying spree for more ammo,

never can tell what this state is going to pass

next in gun laws. moving out when i retire [7yrs]

dvieira, how do you like that DW? I've been wanting to pick one up in . 41 for a while, but just don't see many around here.

Seriously though, I don't have quite that much ammo.

1500+ rounds of . 22lr (can never have to much and it's cheap) ;)

200 rounds of 10mm (I have about 100 cases primed and waiting to be loaded though).

400 rounds of . 41 magnum (with about 250 cases primed and waiting to be loaded).

I guess my dad is normal compaired to you guys. He has a dresser about 4 feet tall and two feet wide and it is full of ammo. 22's, 30-06's, 338's, 44's, 45, 12 guage, 410's, 38's, 40's, 357's and who nows what else.

I mostly roll my own. I have a couple of hundred rounds for every gun. I shoot alot and for the gun I shoot the most my STI 40 S&W I probibly have enough bullets, powder, and primers to load 20K rounds right now. I'm feel alittle on the down side right now on bullets I like to keep at least a years worth in stock and I'm shy of that right now.

mdlowry...

well since the 10" isn't mag-na-port, has a kick, but i do love

the DW, since the barrel shroud is massive, the revolver is

huge, about 15" from tip of barrel to end of handgrip.

I try to get as much as I can. There is no such thing as too much ammo.
