I put my spring kit in the other day, One thing I didn't figure on was loosing about a pint of engine oil when I unscrewed the plug. If I'd known about that, I'd have put a pan under the truck first. Maybe if i'd have let the truck sit for a while, it would have drained back into the pan, but I had it running a little before I went to work on the springs.

Thanks for the help guys, I see this is a topic on eveyones list, I guess it's because the pump costs so much that we don't want to make a mistake. I never expected so many responses.

I ordered the 3k GSK a few days ago, so this is a timely thread for me.

Guess I'll know shortly what everyones been raving about. I'm just an easy mark for this site:D .

Ok I did the install and went in through the side. The truck runs great but the idle is a bit slow, about 500 rpm. Do I open it up and add a click to adjust the idle? It has nice pick-up:) do I just adjust the low speed idle? Thanks for the help guys.

I beleive Piers' instructions say to adjust the idle, not the spring keeper.

Also, something that tripped me up the first time is the 2 piece stock keeper. All the ones I have done had them, but seems I have heard that some come stock with one piece seats. Piers' seats are one piece. Be sure to get both the stock pieces out of each side before putting in the new stock one piece seats. Makes for real tight springs if you don't.
