I am installing stacks in my '03 this weekend and am wondering how many more have them?

where did you guys get the stacks from. if you ordered all the peices seperate can you pm me or post all of the parts and how you got it all together. alot to ask from you guys if its too much trouble dont worry about it. thanks

stack cost

My stacks ran me about $320 from Six States Dist. here in AK. But my setup is slightly different than most in the fact that the crossover is 5x5x3/16 square steel tubing with the ends capped,one inlet and two outlets to the stacks so my cost might be higher or lower than most.

I had mine put on for me. But all of the parts came from a peterbuilt dealership. I had a problems with the band clamps. So I used regular 5 inch muffler camps. Make sure you use stainless hardware. Don't forget antize. I have no muffler. Sounds good guys good luck. Post pictures. Yes they are 5 inch. rhino50

It's Done!

Well, I got my stacks done on sat afternon and I like the looks, BUT I don't think I like how it sounds. It doesn't sound like any Cummins that I have ever heard before! It has a funky hollow tone to it and is kinda loud in the cab at some power settings(wide open), but it is growing on me though It kinda sounds Like A friends late model Mustang Cobra's exhaust.

X, there wasn't a kit that I used to do it per se, I just bought the parts from a hd truck shop and some steel, I'll have to go thru my receipts for the part #'s. Z, I don't have pics yet, I'm working on getting a buddy w/a digital camera to take them and upload them. Soon I hope

what does it sound like at idle. do you still have your turbo silencer ring in? take it out this will help with the sound. do you have a muffler? what kind? need to see some pics!

The sound will grow on you. Put a afe magnum air filter on that will let you here the turbo alittle more. What type of a reaction did you get from other people?Stacks are cool but you have to get used the open exhausts sound. It 's a sound like no other on the road. Have fun waken up the ricers! RHINO 50
