You can see an interior photo of my truck in this topic: https://www.turbodieselregister.com/ubb//Forum3/HTML/003391.html
The switch panel under the dash is made from 2" aluminum angle. It was meant to be temporary until I made something better, but you know how that goes! on that switch panel, I have: overdrive (power for the Gear Vendor's o/d), Horton fan, fog lights, aux back up lights, strobe light, mirror heaters, and fuel tank (aux or main). My truck is a '97, so when I swapped in '98 heated mirrors, I had to add my own switch.

Yes, I did the install myself. I had to cut the aluminum plate on a laser cutter. It was the only thing that could give me a 1/16" separator between switches. Soldering the wires was a PIA. But it was worth it. Yes, the ashtray still closes. And noone smokes in my truck (obviously). The lights I use for my firefighting stuff.

I will eventually get around to doing it to my Ram also. I used phone wire the last time for the low current side of the circuit in my Suburban. This time I will use cat 5 network cable so that I can have more circuits. The cool part of this is running the small cable from under your hood to the truck's overhead and then just plugging it into your switch block and relay block with the RJ networking connectors.

Just remember that you must not run any 'real' current in those tiny wires.

I have noticed several of you talk about a 2low switch. I had not heard of that before. Were can i get info on how it works?

Need to add one more.

I should add one more to my count. I've since added LPG to the truck and that gives me a grand total of 14. Will it ever end?

Amianthus, if I had all those switches I would have to have a copilot to help me go through a preflight check. :D

Fog Lights=Check

Strob Lights= Check

CB=Check

BackUp Lights=Check

:D :cool: :D :cool: :D :cool:

Someone else said that.

Ya know, Steve St. Laurent and Dennis (party at 33) said the same thing when we took my truck for a joy ride.
