Workin on installin my gauges, got the boost gauge in. What's normal for a 6. 7? Avg steady throttle i am seeing between 20-25... WOT i am seeing 25-30 able to peak at 31 psi. That Sound normal for 6. 7?



Also working on Fuel pressure gauge and need to know which banjo to replace on the filter housing? There are 2 of them on the backside.....

Sounds pretty high at steady throttle, 10 lbs or less would sound better to me:) Maybe the variable turbo keeps pressure up higher than a fixed one? I don't have a 6. 7 but your peak numbers sound right.



Definately put the probe pre turbo, drilling the manifold isn't a big deal. I'm almost be scared to ask what happens to EGTs during regen:eek:
 
Regen Temps

I have a 2008 Mega with Diprocol EGT (pre-turbo) and during regen mine

will show 1200-1350 constant. If you baby the accellerator with more

fuel it will easily bump1400-1500 degrees, but if you put your foot into

it, it will bump 1400-1450 and then go back to a steady 1250-1350. I

only have 3300 miles on mine and will usually regen once a day for about

15 minutes..... Your driving style will dictate how often and how long.
 
bruiserbob what are your cruising boost numbers? Doughboy maybe you have a kinked boost line which isn't letting the boost vent off after getting on the throttle?
 
... ok guys,how much of a pain in the *** to get to a drill point on the 6. 7 manifold??? i cringe everytime i look under the hood!!!!... . and where are you tapping for boost??... ... tom
 
I had a pinched line... . Now here are my boost figures again... . Steady throttle at crusing speeds i am seeing maybe 5 psi if that... . Accelerating from a stop, depending on how heavy my foot is i am seeing 20-25... . Wot i have peaked 35 psi once or twice but not very often, most of the time it peaks around 31-32... .

Pulling 9000 lbs, 85 inches of mercury or about 41 PSI peak for a second or two, then drops off slowly.

..... i think my question got lost in the shuffle!!!!..... exactly how difficult is it to get to a drill point for the EGT probe???... . i must say,the 6. 7 sure looks crowded under the hood..... it's as if Dodge went out of their way to make things tough to install aftermarket items... ... i guess factory installed gauges would be asking WAAAAAY too much... . it boggles the mind:rolleyes:... tom
 
drilling and tapping for the EGT SUCKED major balls!!!



the boost was easy, Geno's Garage / Boost adapter bolt

though my advice about the plastic tube for the boost, use copper tubing. the tube gets hot from the EGR and so it will become soft. with the plastic tube being soft it will expand and contract under boost causing the needle to vibrate.
