Does your truck run rougher with PE EZ?

Grid heater stuck on...

You are finally going to put it in  :D ;)

It should be fine, Colin. Only used to drive me and the MIL to church on Sundays, hehehehe :)

I only showed 28 lbs boost with this combo(DD2's + EZ)However, My K&N Filter-Charger clogged-up my WestTach gauge. Now I'm reading only 3lbs! but no noticble power loss.

However, I know that's not accurate because I've used another gauge to check, and it read 28+.

31 lbs on a hard pull.

Thats with the HY.

I got a question for those of you who have changed to the HX-35. How did that affect your lag. Say with a 12cm² housing?

Garrett

34 psi empty, with a modified wastegate acutator and HY35. I'm told I will see 38 psi when towing under acceleration.

Oh, check your hose clamps often with the added boost

Garrett, with a stock HX-35, you will see more lag. The HY-35 is pretty nice in that regard.

Now with Piers' 35 and a 12cm housing, lag is less than a stock HX-35, and very close to a HY-35. Again, this is dependent on where you live. The turbo obviously acts different geographically.

I know that when I went up to Canada from Arizona, once I hit Oregon and as I went further North, the lag felt even less. Again ,this was in July, outside temps went from 110+ to 70.

If you're not going too crazy on mods, no reason to change the HY-35.

I have one of Piers,s HX35 with the 12 housing that I will be installing when I add the dd2's and the EZ or Comp box. I don't know if I need to put the elbow that comes with the box on or not to get the kind of boost you are talking about. Piers said he has the waste gate set high already. Fred what did you have to do when you installed the turbo.

I like your handle to. I did not know it was already in use until it was to late. I will try come up with a more unique one as soon as possible.

I have only had the clutch in for about two weeks and we ahve had snow and ice on the road most of that. So I cannot answer your question. Yet. I am suprised at how close to stock the pedal feels. I hope to have more to tell you later.

With that setup only a TTPM versus the EZ I see a dead on 35psi with an open K/N and the 4" exhaust. The clutch is still holding on with 15K miles on it... although I may have felt a slip today at 1600RPM in 6th when I mashed the go pedal... CJ

Now I'm worried. . .

I have the BDII's and an EZ on level 3. I can wrap my 35 psi boost gauge around and bounce it off the backside of the zero peg :D:eek:. That's with a BHAF and dual stacks with a "mostly" stock hx35.

For the guys who read my other post about my boost gauge, I got a campbel hausfeld psi gauge, hooked it up, and it reads right at 41. 4 psi. Pretty cool.

DD2 BLUE CHIP FMS

I get 46. 5 lbs boost on DD II/ HX35, 4" JR Exhaust, K & N intake. Most of my HP comes from my Blue Chip FMS it has lots of info to let me know whats going on. I got 22. 5 stock, 27. 5 on the FMS, and 46. 5 on the HX35. But I still have a p roblem with fuel pressure going to 1lbs wide open, 15lbs just sitting. Steven C Jokinen
