Just a quick question about how much boost can Irun with stock injectors? I was thinking about swapping to the HX35. I would do injectors now but money money money only have so much!
You could do the turbo now, but I don't think you'd be able to see any difference other than slightly more laggy spool-up since you're coming from an HY35. To take advantage of the extra air you'll need more fuel.
What kind of peak EGT and boost pressures are you currently seeing?
Thats all the boost you can make? Something is wrong there. I boost like 42psi easy. Granted I have 110 injectors but even before I put in the injectors I was building all but 35psi.
The box just plugs into the data port below the filter bowl. Today I was watching and my egts were 800 going 70mph at about 2,000 rpm. Wot was around 950 with 25 psi. Can I get more boost out of the hy35/ If so how? I have a Jhook and I keep hearing about this turnbuckle but not sure how it hooks up. Any suggestions would be great. TIA
I get 22 psi max boost as measure by my Autometer boost gauge, my edge does tap the pump wire. I think if you are getting 25, your stock turbo is max'd out.
The HX-35 runs out of its efficiency map around 30 PSI. Any boost created after that is more from heating the charge air rather than compressing it. Dunno about the HY-35; I suspect it might be similar.
