I have a 3K GSK, 191 DV, 215 Inj. , and AFC spring kit. I've checked for air leaks ( found none) overflow valve is new, as is the lift pump. I haven't checked fuel pressure yet, put suspect possible fuel line problems. I can only get 26/27 Lbs. maximum boost. Is that a good number, or should it be higher given everything is in proper working order?

Boost pressure

I get about 26-28 PSIG at 2300-2500 RPM with my manual transmission set up. I can get over 30 PSIG if I get RPM over 2700 but I don't like to run my RPMs up that high. Only happens when I find a hill that is steep enough to force a downshift to 4th while pulling the trailer. That doesn't happen too often. More likely climbing a hill and a powerjoke gets in the way:) I don't have the 3K GSK kit though.

I'm getting 36 - 37 pounds boost

See my signature - I can get 36 or 37 psi under WOT and I run in the 25 - 30 range fairly often.

Our set-ups are somewhat similar. However, I have an AFE Mega Cannon, 4" exhaust, and a boost elbow, stock turbo. I have a #4 plate that is on the shelf right now because I had too much smoke with it - but WOW what a fun ride!!!!!!! I don't have an AFC spring, but that shouldn't matter.

I would think you could get more than 28... ?

Hopefully someone with a closer set-up (or more boost expertise - like Piers... . ) can add comment. If he doesn't reply to this post, you should call him. He's good in this area.

Good Luck.

I'm with Ben R. on this one. My boost maxes out at about 33-34 psi, and I have a TST #6, 215 injectors, stock 131 delivery valves, stock (but "holey") air box w/ K&N, and no 3k or 4k GSK (yet). Something's up with your truck to be stuck on 26 psi.

Thanks guys for the ideas and some figures to go by. I went out and started looking more closely at the supply and return fuel lines. The supply line had a sharp turn in it which if the line softened up over time, could easily collapse, and the return line was looking bad with check marks every where. I began the pain in the back side task of replacing both lines. Still not done as when the last hose clamp was getting tightened down, it broke. Brand new clamp, yet still broke. I will get it done today and see if that helps out. I suspect it should as the rig seemed to start de-fueling when the 26 Lbs. of boost was reached. I will call Piers this next week anyway, as I have a couple other questions that I need to ask him. Thanks again for the info.
