how much boost?

I've recently added a HC1 turbo from piers with a 16cm exhaust housing, and a asa intake system. How big of a boost gauage do I need. I bought a 40psi thinking it would be plenty. It maxs out easily. any suggestions on how much boost I have? thanks alonzo

I am not familliar with your turbo, but my HX-40 with 16 cm housing is wastegated at 45 psi. My Haisley HX-50 non wastegated hits 65-70 psi.

Based on your sig, and with "wild pump settings" I'd estimate your boost to be in the 45-50 psi range...



I just installed a new boost guage... 60psi full sweep.

How much boost are you gettin out of yours now with the new gauge. i could'nt get but 32 psi on the dyno, probably should have left the tail gait up but i can pull 38 on the street with no problem ... ... ... ... ... Rick

You will see less boost on a dynojet than you do when running on the street. The dynojet does not load the engine down as much as the mass of your truck does.

Right now, my daily street max boost is about 40psi... .

I'm going to do some boost/drive pressure fiddling and see what that tells me... .



If I turn my pump right up to max rates, I can break 50psi with the POD's ... . but it's wayyyyy too hot for safety.



There is an answer though,,, mark is working on 6 singles (turbos) to feed a larger secondary blower. .
