I have a '99 with a Banks monster exhaust and Otto Mind and an AFE intake filter package. Boost can be adjusted by changing length of wastegate actuater arm. I can easily get 38-40 psi. Right now I have it set so it produces about 33-34 psi. Where should it be?

You're right where you need to be. The turbo is capable of pushing more but after you get past 35 psi,you get out of it's efficency range.

which produces Waaay too much uneeded intake heat anyways which will only drive egt's up and will make the OTTOMIND defuel faster once you get beyond 38. The Ottomind defuels once EGT's get to 1300 so it keeps the motor in its "Safe zone" create more egt's and it will try to protect the engine sooner as they are rising faster.

35-38 is IDEAL with a stock Hx 35 anyways.

I have a Banks set up on my truck (power pack) I'm only getting 26 lbs of boost . How do I go about increasing the boost on this system. Any suggestions would be helpful:confused:

Assuming your ottomind is working and you don't have a boost leak, you can increase your boost by shortening your wastegate actuator arm. I think each complete turn is good for around 3 pounds increase or decrease if you lengthen the shaft. Or you could install a boost elbow. To check for the first two issues, you might want to just block your wastegate line to see what kind of boost you can get. If it stays at 26, then I'd say you have air or fuel problems.

Also, how high can you get your EGT gauge to read at 26#'s?

Ok, now I'm really making myself sould stupid. How do I shorten the wastegate actuator arm. Egt is at 1100 degrees at 26 lbs of boost in response to your question. Thanks for the help. :( :(

if this is a pre-turbo temp, there is no reason to raise boost. You will not gain any power by doing so.

If it is a Post-turbo temp, then raising boost to lower it to less than 900F would be a good thing, but keep boost less than 35 psi as previously stated.

my opinion would be to kick that stuff to the curb, and get an EZ box, or a FMS... . Not very pleased with BANKS stuff... dont want to be a firestarter, but I have no problem with voicing my opinion.
