3100# of slate and cement on the back of my truck was like a fly had landed on it but i have a 3500 drw C&C so it's a little beefyier, didn't even hit the helper springs, still managed to beat a toyota truck who stood on it when he saw me up the dual lane onramp as i didn't wanna test the braking system when he did the usual slam on the brakes at the merge point
 
i've been with a friend in his 2000 3500 when we had over 1000 board feet of lumber in logs, seems like we grossed well over 25000 lbs, truck weighs 7900 lbs roughly, i wouldn't be too concerned to take it in one trip, these trucks are tough and can haul massive loads, saw one guy around here goin up a 9%incline with a full sized Komatsu excavator on a lowboy trailer with a 2500 one time.
