2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission how much coolant do i need?

gonna flush the radiator. how much coolant do i need, and any recommended brands? also, what do you guys use for a cleaner? I've heard dish detergent works well?

If you jack the back end up or park nose down on a steep hill to get it all out it will take about 5 gallons. I keep my cooling system real clean so never have used any cleaners in it so I can't help you there. I just fill it a few times with clean water and flush it out that way. I have been using the orange extended life Prestone for nearly as long as I have had the truck (about 6 years and maybe 320k miles). I'm sure you will get many opinions as to what to run.
