I got a quote from Tommygun and wonder the same thing. Granted I was going for the recent college grad $400, but I thought all those rebates came from Chrysler and do not effect the dealerships bottom line.

STICKER on my truck was $43K. Took it down to $40K, then gave me a $3500 rebate... so down to 36,500. Walked out for a hair under $40K with EVERYTHING including 7year/100K mile BUMPER to BUMPER warranty.

Sticker was $40,700 got down to $32,300 before taxes. Probably a little more then some people... but I smile big every time I drive it :)

that is because with the TDR discount i worked out with DC, the terms are NO certificate rebates can be applied with it... If I could get DC to let me stack the two programs, i would, but they would, sorry :(

but usually 3% under invoice is more aggressive than most dealers eeven with $500 farm bureau, (but as always there are exceptions)

cya!

You mean you guy's had to PAY for yours? Heck, I just picked out the one I wanted, got the keys and was on my way! Ah, I can still see them waving at me as I drove away. Who'd have thought anybody would have been there that late at night...

OK, I bought before any rebates or 0% interest rates. There was no farm subsidy and no lube used. TomeyGun had not even joined the forum yet (and when he did, I thought he was just here so I could make fun of his shiny white shoes).

Monroe Dodge did provide a bracing hand on my shoulder before they stuck it to me though :{

Thanks Tommygun, I knew there was a reason it just did not quite make sense to me at the time.

It was quite interesting taking Tom's 3% below invoice around to the local dealers in my area. The looks on their faces was priceless.

I did however find one that worked out 1% below invoice plus $2500 cash + $400 college grad rebate. Unfortunatley for Tommygun the offer came close enough for me to reconsider a trip to St. Louis.

I will say this tho, if you are close enough, or don't mind the drive give Tommygun a call he will give you one of the, if not the best deal

40k MSRP..... 30K and a little change... ... . Oo. OH ! almost forgot... . they threw in 2 oil changes... ... after the first one at 7500 they put a sticker on the wind. for next change due in 3000 miles... ... . Do they know it's a diesel or do they own stock in SHELL oil? rrattllerrattlleerraattlleerraattllee:cool:

I'm sticking to my guns (tomeygun), I am fine with our deal. Just patiently waiting now. Farm Bureau would have been nice but hey, you do what you can.

I belong to the local Farm Bureau... It costs $15 a year to join and any member can get a rebate for $500 off your best bottom line... .

You have to belong for 12 months to qualify... but you just make your best deal... . and when you go to pay or take delivery you present the certificate and get an additional $500... and some of the other Chrysler vehicles qualify.....

There is no limit for this program... . and I see it as an extra discount..... they also can provide Country Insurance at great rates as well... .

I just joined yesterday (Higley AZ). Cost me $30. 00 per year and I only have to belong 31 days before I qualify to get a $500 Dodge rebate certificate. Sounds like diffferent areas have different rules.

for those lucky people that have a truck on order to be delivered by march 31st, there is a $1000 bonus until march 31st, FWIW

Tommy, how does one find the $1000 bonus and is it just on ordered trucks or any purchased before 3/31. Thanks in advance.

fwiw, I just looked at the Dodge site and for the 2500/3500's it says $3500 cash back for gas trucks, $2500 for non-gas trucks.

cost of new truck

Don't remember exact price and i don't feel like going out to truck just now... .

invoice-- 39k

rebates-- 4. 5k

cost to me 34. 5k

see below for particulars

I am a happy guy with my truck. i got it oct 11 on my birthday...

an 03 ho

Mine had an MSRP of $38. I bought on an employee price program, 4. 5% under invoice. Then got the $2500 rebate plus the $500 holiday bonus. Florida has a 6% sales tax. Counties can add another 1. 5%, but only on the first $5,000. How complicated!
