On a simple drain with no filter change how much do I need . I also see when solonide was changed on a recall they used sealant. I thought gasket was reusable? Maybe not now? And would the solonide change qualify as a fluid change?as fluid was on invoice.

You may want to specify what year and the mileage IMHO. I am sure you did a search and found there are guys using from 8-12 qts. When I did mine I measured what came out and because I upgraded to a Mag-Hytec pan it added 2 quarts (total was 11.5 qts) after letting it drain overnight. As far as the solenoid is concerned, I would ask the more experienced guys on here. My 16 only had 60K miles on it and was performing fine, but I am now towing a 12K lb 5th wheel more, again the reason for the Mag- Hytec and has been performing well. So I did not need a new solenoid. I did see kits for sale on Amazon which included the solenoid. Is your transmission not shifting right?

If the dealer did the solenoid change they would have dumped the fluid. I don't think I have ever seen a technician save the fluid, even though there is not reason not to in many cases.

It’s a 2016 cclb 4x4 39,000 miles.
Nothing wrong just trying to keep maintenance up to date so warranty stays intact. Seems wasteful when truck doesn’t go anywhere. 1400 miles last 6 months with 150 miles towing 8000#. Sits In climate controlled shop. CCV coming up soon
