I have a buddy that can get me an HX-50 Off of a dump truck with a cummins in it that is blown up and I think i can get it pretty cheap. How much fuel do i need to spin it? I have DDII injectors (80 horse) also an edge comp. What else do i need, bigger injectors? Could i spool it with what i have? Can i stack a programmer with my setup. Also how much boost are we talking with a 50? How do these compare with the M-11 turbos? I am not going to pull my truck yet it is a daily driver and I want more power, what do you guys think?

I would have to agree. I don't think it would be very nice on a daily driver, with your present setup. Look in my sig for my fueling mods. I finally have enough to light up the PDR40 I have. Spools almost as good as the stocker did.

It will be way to laggy for daily driver. I've had a slightly modified BIG HX55 and the spoolup for street driving was way less than desireable. It didn't start buildling boost (10+ psi) until 2100 RPM's with a 5spd, 3. 55 gears, & 35" tires. Once it lit though HOLD ON TIGHT! However for daily driving you definately want to steer clear of it.

I think Mark hit the nail on the head in the above statement. If your just wanting a big turbo cheap then go for that 50, if your wanting a big turbo what works well all around then your going to have to spend some money. The are plenty of turbo's out now that flow a bunch of air for a small frame turbo.
