Competition In memory of Nowel (HVAC)

Justin,

2500 h/p? Is that tractors named "meltdown", then those guys live only a little ways from me. Last I heard they were doin it with a single charger. Wooooeeee! Thats what cracks me up. People say 1000 is out of reach, but tractors have done it for years. lol

Dave

EXACTLY!! :-laf

Yeah, I think thats a single charger prostock.

I dont have any idea who it is though.

Yeah, somewhere in the 2000-3000hp area.

Yeah Dave thats the Meltdown. They live right down the road from Lange Holsteins and Stone Church Diesel :-laf . I heard they drive that thing to Wal-Mart twice a week!!!!

and may god have mercy if you manage spool the turbo in gear without a load hooked to it, thing would take off like a bottle rocket or flip over backwards

That tractor is just SICK! Wow, what a ride! HP, it doesn't matter..... it's SICK!

Justin you never cease to amaze me with vids..... you have a talent! You need to come up with buyable vids or make it donations to the diaper fund :D

Jim

well if its a prostock, i always hear about 2000 hp. , if its a super farm 1000 to maybe 1200 hp. my buddies super farm is turning about 1100 hp. i thinks it time to go work on it, gettin ready for Gordyville USA, next week.

Alot!!!!!!!!!

I think the better question for this video would be this one.....

"How many RPM's is this turning at full song at the large end of the track?"

To answer this question you will need to contact the nearest N. A. S. A. station to see if they can see the engine as its in the outer limits of space orbit... ..... Andy

There are a few things that I really like about that vid:

1. There is no question about the power that is being made... ... . no dyno sheet here.

2. The RPM's are up there just fine

3. How long it takes to get it going, I just love the stack fire before spoolup and launch.

I have just got to get out that way to see it in person and to look at the tractors and chat with the people.

Jim

There was a guy at Stanford Ky. this spring with a 3rd gen bodied puller... He was blowing flame like that too... I doubt he was anywhere near that powerful for some reason though. I think it was from Ohio maybe?

You sould see those guys machine shop. (drool). Its unbelievable! I think they start out with a 466 block and go from there. They have another kick @#% tractor named BLACK SAVAGE that is just as bad. They build alot of motors for pullers. The only limit is $$$. lol

"How many RPM's is this turning at full song at the large end of the track?"

at the start about 5000 to 5500 rpms

at end of track usualy in the 3000 range

are tractor is a 4560 JD. the moter is a the 640 cid limit

That pull at the end reminded me of a DVD that I have were the unlimited trucks were pull the RPM's down at the big end due to cut tires and a sticky track, you can almost see the T/Q go through the roof and just wait on something to snap.

I copied the link to the tractor and have watched it 10+ times... ... anyone know how to save it?

Jim
