How much HP do gauges add?

I am planning on getting gauges and i have a couple questions. Does anyone have the Autometer counsel mount 3 gauge setup under the a/c controls? I was wondering if the wires were long enough going through the hole in the firewall. Has anyone mounted the gauges turned so that the peak egts or trans temp where pointed straight up (kinda like a NASCAR tach and gauges are setup). Where do i get the tee fitting to tie the trans sensor into? Do i have to drain the trans to install the tee?

At least 15 if they're mouinted in carbon fiber



Sorry, coudn't resist. The wires are long enough to go from the dash panel through the hole by the clutch and to the manifold and/or trans. Generally the fittings that you need will come with the gauge, best to ask when you buy.

I didn't gain any HP, just picked up like 25 mpg or so...

I'd be surprised if the wiring from the gauges out of the box was long enough to route all the way through the firewall. But who cares? You can just extend them!
