I'm planning my bombing mods and need some insight. Suppliers are advertising the following HP gains; what can be expected when combining the pieces on an ETH?

4" exhaust approx. 25 HP

Edge EZ approx. 60 HP

Edge Comp approx. 60-120 HP

275 HP injectors approx. 50HP

DDII's approx. 100 hp

K&N filter approx. ?

My current plan is 275's, Edge Comp (set to 1x1), K&N, 4" exhaust. I use the truck for a daily driver and pull a 31 TT occasionally. Comments?

I have recently Dynoed at 426/859. I am running DDII's(80 hp),

HX40(35 hp) 4" exhaust(0 hp), Drag Comp(150 hp), Afe Megacannon (4 hp). I tow anything I want and have totally manageable egt's. That is not to say that if I flat foot it, I wont go over 1250*. That means on level 1x1 I can haul heavy, real heavy. Try 27,000 lbs behind the truck and egt's of less than 1200*. I wouldn't wast my time with the 275's. You will want more sooner or later. If you go with the DDII's, You will be fine and have plenty of power to pull. Hope this helps a little.

transmission?

which transmission do you have? If you have a standard and do whot you are thinking or go with the DDII's you will definetly need a clutch on your list very soon. If you have an auto plan on spending some money there to upgrade it with DTT or whoever you choose. Just a my . 02. Also I have the DDII's and love the power but my clutch is not liking it very well. I very rarely turn the JVD box on with the DDII's now and really don't see much need for it when towing, my EGT's are never out of control. Good luck and remember power is addictive and it is better to do it right the first time. Dshawhan

I have the Edge Comp, 275's, BHAF and find that the truck is very drivable and with all the power I want when I want it. My mpg is anywhere from 18. 5 to 22 on average. Pulling a 6,000 lb trailer from Utah to Oregon averaged 18. 2 mpg. I have not dynoed this particular set-up yet. When I had just the edge I was just over 262 and when I dropped in the 275's I hit just over 300 hp. Right now I believe I am just under 400 but won't know for sure until I get it on a dyno. Money it tight at the moment. Good luck with what ever you decide. :D

On an ETH, the following results are typical:

EZ and 275s = 100 HP gain = 310 BHP

Comp (5x5) and 275s = 130 HP gain = 340 BHP

DDIIs thrown into the mix are good for another 30 - 40 ponies over and above the 275s (when combined with the Comp, with the EZ it'll be a little less, probably another 20 - 30 ponies).

Thanks all. I see my numbers on HP is off; it looks to me that my best combination for what I will be doing with the truck is DDII's, Edge Comp (set @1x1 for normal driving & towing), K&N, and the 4" exhaust. Funny, I believe this combo is the most used in the forum. :p I'm just a little slow to catch on.

I need to dyno my truck now!!

Does anyone know about how much HP and TQ if you’re running a Power Max 3, Edge EZ, DDIII’s, HX40, Scotty II, 4 inch Ex like I am?

Does anyone have a truck like mine? If so what were the numbers?
