how much is a 04.5 complete drivetrain worth?

I may buy back my wrecked 04. 5 from my insurance company. I would like to know what the engine is worth. It had 66K miles on it and ran flawless. I have the complete drivetrain available.....computer, intercooler, rad, auto trannny with VB and TC (suncoast).



It is a 4x4 with the 11. 5 rear end 3. 73 gears... ... all the damage appears to be to the body. the engine was still running when i rolled it. I ran Red Line synthetic oil. The tanns was rebuilt with the suncoast TC and VB about 9000 miles ago.



I want to know if it will be worth it to me to invest the time and money to apsr this thing out. It was a laramie so it has the leather quad cab seats

I bought my 03 back after a similar deal. They'll probably charge you $6-7k for the buyback. You could make a little money selling the parts but it'd be a lot less work to sell the whole package to sombody that wants to do a conversion. To answer your question directly the engine is worth ~$4k
