:) Howdy,

I was curious how much power this guy at church makes with his Cummins. I was wondering if some of you guys could give me a rough estimate, weeell here goes

24 valve (not sure year)

5 speed club cab longbed dually is it Clubcab or Quad cab (it has the 2 more doors) I'm just a dumb ole 1st Gen guy

stock tires 3. 54

300 hp inj. K&N stock airbox

16 cm turbo housing ( I think, it's bigger than stock)

Power edgeEZ

He has a dynomax exhaust (he says 3" but I'm like HUH?

He hit 32# max boost(not sure what gear)

Most likely the answer will be less then the owner is willing to admit. None the less, the truck should roll out with all of that stuff hooked to it. I would say that a rear wheel hp estimate would be between 235-290hp. At work I have seen a 24v run on the dyno, and it consistantly puts out between 262-272hp with a full out Banks kit. Most guys will say that their truck has tons of hp after they put smart boxes on them and exhausts, but this diesel performance hobby is little different the the import cars... . the real power is made with costly "engineering" and mods to the entire vehicle; any one can put on a bigger exhaust and intake. Besides, what is next on the food chain, clutch, converter, transmission, etc. I am not trying to down play all of this stuff we live for :D, but you have look at the Hp output of a vehicle as an overview of the whole unit.

Please don't flame me  DOH!

Another old timer first genner :D

I'll take a guess.

300 HP injectors? Could this be like some DD2's? If they're some brand like Dr. Performance, then I wouldn't know what to think.

I think he would easily be at 275 to 325 HP with the setup depending on what injectors he has.

K&N and exhaust won't buy much, if any, HP with his setup.

I'd have him dyno the truck if he really wants to know. You can speculate all day long about what kind of power you're making, but it doesn't mean much without a dyno sheet.

BTW, my truck with DD2's, EZ, 4" exhaust, BHAF, did 305 HP. It is an ETC motor.
