how much pressure is too much?

On my truck I installed a fuel pressure gauge and I on am getting around 9 psi at idle and it drops to 6 to 7 psi loaded. Now I'm wondering what the vp44 can handle for supply pressure if I am to bump the pressure to it up. What is everyone else running. Thanks

You should see between 12 and 15 at idle. Replace your fuel filter, see if pressure rises, if not, I would think about a new lift pump.



I believe up to 18psi is OK for the VP-44.
