Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) How much timing is needed?

I`m thinking about changing the timing on my 96... I have an auto with the 180 pump. . Stock plate right now, stock turbo pressure, but I plan to make a change in that in the near future. . Would 16* also be a good number for me to shoot for? Or is a lower number better for a 180 pump. .

Jerry, 16 is a good number! If you add a plate and Gov Spring ect it will already be setup for it.
