Welcome to the big leagues I guess. I just got a quote from Progressive on my ordered 2500 QC 4x4 and they want $698 every six months with no tickets or wrecks  .

I'm just curious to know what others are paying.

Thanks,

David

I've been with State Farm many years, multiple vehicles, house, etc, I'm 46 yrs and no accidents/tickets for at least 10yrs. I pay $520 for 6mo w/ $500 dec. many adds

It really depends on where you live and a 3500 is more to insure than a 2500. Mine is about 1400 a year went down 60 bucks the second year however.

I was paying 760 a year for the 1990 F-250 the 2003 replaced so I was shocked to say the least.

Insurrance man said the truck didn't have a history yet I reminded him that Dodge has been building trucks since like 1917 and can't believe they need a longer history.

If you roll all your insurance into one policy home auto etc you might save a few bucks.

IMO I have found when you switch companies you only save the first year then the rate goes right back up to where it was or even higher, so 15 minutes might save you 50 bucks this year but don't expect it next year.

yeah we got screwed with Geico once. they quoted a rate, so we switched. first bill came and it was more than double what they quoted:--)

Then i was in a wreck and it took them over a month to get us a check for the car.

We now have 3 autos and 2 homes insured with Nationwide, I pay less than $100 a month for the truck, but can't remember exatly how much:rolleyes: I know the bill for a 99 wrangler, 03 Jetta TDI and the CTD is $208 a month, with a $500 deductable. No accidents and no tickets for almost 5 years

Ins.

For my "04" $495 every 6 mo. $500 deductable. This is when combined with my other vehicles, and possibly my home.

This is thru Northwest GF Mutual. I believe it is based in Eureka S. D.

But all things considered, I think that because we live in the Buffalo Commons, I think we possibly get cheaper ins. Because, whats the worst that can happen? "You might run over a gopher!":--)

Maybe calif. isn't so bad after all!! I pay $475 for six months. no tickets in 22 years, three cars and house on same policy allstate.

Come on guys! You paid 40K for a truck and you can't afford $1000. 00 deductable?? See what that does to your rates!!

Insurance hates the piddly claims, and to be honest I wouldn't turn 1 in for less than that, they always get you back anyway!

cost of insurance

We pay $450, every 6 Months,03 2500

$500 deductible. In CA,Between the Ins. and

Reg. We save about $900+ A year. CO has

that no fault ins. law and that is one reason for the high rates in CO. GWD:)

24 years old, a few speeding tickets, a motorcycle wreck last year and full coverage is only $594 every 6 months.

I think we all need to keep in mind that as well as driving record, age, and coverages, the laws vary a lot from state to state. (which affects pricing somewhat)

That said, my new one is about $500/6 mos with $1000 deductible.

Well, I checked with our current provider, State Farm, and they quoted $405!!! I thought for sure they'd be higher than the Progressives, and Geico's, but as it turns out, my own carrier had the best price. Should have checked with them first.

Thanks for all the replies!

David

My 2003 3500 is $550. 00 per year.

This is 300,000 liability, and $1,000 collision ded. / $500 comp ded.

Liberty Mutual rocks!!

And this is after my $300,000 Accident last Feb 16th.
