I have a 95 2500 4x4 with an automatic. I have added an oversized Alluminum Trans pan. The transmission has 120000 miles on it. Whats the max amount of HP and Torque it will handle without any further upgrades?
According to the the TST chart you don't want to go over 230 hp and about 600 torque. My 94 automatic couldn't even handle stock power (160 hp and 400 torque). Best bet would be to get a beefed up torque convertor and valve body for starters.
You are the one that knows what you want to do with your truck. Talk to a reputable vendor and explain your needs. There are a couple of them here in the Northwest as well as others throughout the country.
I think that they will each give you an honest opinion as to what will work for you.
