Every 200 hrs. .

There are times when my truck might idle alot. While the miles that I run may varry, the hrs. between oil changes will always remain the same :-laf

Was 5k on Rotella before adding the Amsoil bypass, now I'm stretching everything to 10k (oil, main filter, bypass filter).

I was changing the fuel filter every 10k as well, but since I got the FASS, I am basing the change off pressure and so far, I have almost 40k on this filter with no drop in pressure. Probably change that filter every 10k.

I'm doing about the same. It usually works out to a spring and fall oil/filter change.

With 20 and 2 micron fuel filters in line. . I'll let the pressure gauge tell me when to change.

Dang. I think I may be AR. I had to check the other option. I change mine every 2500 miles as I have always changed my oil at this mileage. I do think I will be extending that a bit now with the new '06 after the first 10k. Other than the few camping trips and the occasional run to the big city, I only put on about 14 miles a day driving back and forth to work.

I will be driving the toy (my Zuki) much more now so I am thinking of going with a hr based oil change schedule instead of a mileage based schedule.

Running the A stuff for the last 136k. Change filter every 10-12k, top off, then run it another 10-12k and dump everything.

For me it's usually about every 3 months for an oil change... I'm actually starting to slow down quite a bit lately... might actually put under 40k on the truck this year!!

I change the filter every 5k and the oil at 15k. Thats with the LF3894 filter and amsoil 15w40. Fuel filter at 15k as well. Oil sample always come back with" All elements are acceptable. Change oil and filters and resample at normal intervals". Been doing it that way for the last 420k..... 300k on 2nd gen and 120k on the 03. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Every 5k. Makes it easy to remember. Last at 20k next at 25k.

Same here for oil filter. I have always done fuel filter every other service. Since I went with GD remote fuel filter (2 micron) and added a fuel pressure guage, I won't change fuel filters until I see a significant drop in fuel pressure.

My dealer does free oil changes for the life of the vehicle.

Their handy dandy little inhouse maintenance schedule says every 2500 so that's what I do.

The last two changes were at about the 8000 mile mark. Did an oil analysis & the results came back that the oil was still in good shape.

Thinking of extending out to 9000 miles, this time.

That's using Chevron Delo-400 & Fleetguard Stratopore filters.

Some of the new oils, including Chevron Delo (with a nice dose of Moly & Boron), seem to have a very robust additive package that allows extended oil change intervals.

Money reasons I just started with 10,000 miles. at $120/change for amsoil, 5000 miles were getting expensive. did an oil test at the last 5000 mile old change and things were good. doing it again at 10,000 (well 11,000) miles to make sure I'm in the clear and will continue with 10,000 mile changes.

Well the next one will be in 9,000 miles since I went 1000 over due to timing. just easy to see when it's time, 70,000 miles, order oil, 80,000 miles, order oil again.

:)

I use Mobil Delvac 1 and change it every 7500 miles. I change the Stratapore filter every 3750 miles and fuel every 15,000. Will be doing my first oil sample next oil change. Just now pushing 35,000 miles on the clock.

Dave, If you're using Mobil Delvac 1 5W/40 you can go waaaaay past 7500 miles. I know we all have our own comfort level but there's no way that oil is used up at the 7500 miles mark.

I would still be using Mobil Delvac 1 if it were more available. . but it's tough to find without going mail order. I'm now running Rotella Syn 5W/40 (not up to delvac spec's) and at 18K it still looks good.

I change mine every 250 to 300 hrs. I also do a lot of idling.
