Does anyone know how many miles it takes the engine computer to adjust to changes you make to the exhaust and air intake system of these trucks.
I can see a difference in the 20 or so miles I have put on my truck since installing the MBRP replacement muffler and the AFE Stage 2 intake system, but was wondering just how many miles before the computer fully digests the data being fed to it?
Last night I hit every stop light just right and was able to run for about 8 miles at a steady 46 MPH with the torque converter locked up, my mileage readout on the over head was 31. 7 MPG, pretty awesome, when I do the same run without the torque converter locked up I can get about 25 to 26 MPG at 46 MPH if I don't hit any of the traffic lights.
