Glacier Problems???? Anyone

P7100 Lube and Heat ????'s

I have installed a glacier 392 with 2 micron filter kit a couple weeks ago and i i cant see any leaks anywhere but when i rub my hand on bottom of filter there is diesel all over the bottom of it...

I have called rich and we trouble shot this and we tried a new filter and that wasn't the problem... so i called him back and we are trying a new filter head to see if maybe i had a defective one..... My question is i have used a thread sealer and i cant find any leaks besides the filter is seeping diesel out where the seal meets the filter head... . Yes i did lube the filter seal before i put it on... I am wondering now if i dont have the filter on tight enough?

How tight should i have the filter on there... . Snug then a couple of hand turns? Or snug then use a filter wrench to tighten it on there?

I have never had any problems with my oil filter leaking and i have never used a filter wrench on that, i've always just put on hand tight... . But i dont know if thats the same concept or if a fuel filter is totally different in sealing than a oil filter... . PLEASE HELP THANKS

Dough... . I test fitted mine right after I got everything hooked up. I did not lube the seal with anything because I was going to take it back off. Well, one thing led to another and I never took it back off to lube it (I Forgot). I must have lucked out because I still did not have any leaks and I have checked it several times since. It is on there hand tight. Pretty snug.
