Alright, I searched the archives and didn't find what I was looking for, so my apologies if it has already been answered. My T-case pops out of 4 lo (and only 4 lo), but works if I hold the 4X4 lever back. From what I have gathered, it needs to be adjusted. How would I go about doing this?

Howdy Coalsmoke - I think I remember reading the instructions you're looking for in either the factory service manual or Haynes. Believe it was in the section about R&R 4WD manual transmission. As I recall, it was pretty easy. HTH

The rod between the cab shift lever and the lever on the t-case has an adjustment screw. Before you begin scribe where it was to start because this might not be your problem. The adjustment is kind of touchy so you may have to fool with it quite a bit to get it just right.

I assume that I access this rod adjuster from the bottom of the truck (IOW, I don'y need to pull off the shifter boot et al. )

It's easy to get to under the truck. I hope that's it, otherwise it's in the T-case. Also check for loose bolts holding the shifter handle bracket on the side of the trans.
