Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) How to change bands in my 47RH?

The front band is worn out, and I am going to replace them. Are there any links to a procedure, with picks. of the process, and how to? I have taken out the transmission. It is on the bench... The bands are in the package beside.

Get the ATSG manual for the transmission and it will give you the entire breakdown of the transmission. If it is just the front band that you are doing it is real simple. If it is both you might as well rebuild the whole thing while you are in there because you have to take it all apart anyway. (except the overdrive unit. )

The trans will have to come out and you will have to pull the pump.

There are too many details to list,to make that trans work properly. It is not wise to disasemble your trans just to install bands.

In Norway... I downloaded the manual, and printed the 90 pages. Whan I dissambeled the case, I found the error early; A broken part in the front band. The piece that the adjusting screw goes into. How it broke is a mystery however. Maybe to slack band>got warm>hooked? Well, I just put in the part and assamble it again.
