A-Pillar gauge mount with boost gauge.

Or, are you saying you know this but wondering how to check boost without an aftermarket installed gauge? If so, I can't help.

Good luck...

I can get it through my Quad Adrenaline I am guessing Smarty will provide as well. So a high end diagnostic tool can retrieve it as well.

well what i was needing to know was where on the engine do you hook the gage up. Is there a plug you take out or do you have to buy a fancy bolt thats tapped or what.

I'm pretty sure there's a plug on the driver side of the head you can remove and place the fitting to run to a gage, but most guys drill and tap the air-horn. Of course remove it so nothing goes into the engine.

How do you check the turbo boost pressure on a 2001 24 valve?
There should be an unused 3/4" NPT threaded port (with a plug in it) you can use on the side of the intake manifold. This port is next to, and just forward of, the MAP (Manifold Air Pressure) sensor. If you look at the left side of the engine, this port is located just to the rear (right) of the fuel filter housing... . it can be a bit hard to see unless viewed at just the right angle.

The plug should have a 1/2" square depression in the center and can be removed using a 1/2" ratchet with an extension(s). You'll need an appropriate collection of reducer fittings to go from your boost test gauge to the 3/4" NPT port.

Good luck,

John L.
