you wouldnt happen to have a write up on how to perform this would you. im not that experience mechanicaly but ive made it this far. so im gonna want to go with the spring tst recomends for my 215 pump? thanks

Pull the afc off the pump.

On one end of the AFC there is a "cam" of sorts that controls how high the afc foot is in the housing. the other side has a few more adjustments. If you completely dis-assemble the AFC (the 4 bolts on back. . ), you will have access to the spring/washers and all that Jim is talking about. (There may also be instructions to this on the TST site under AFC spring install... )

This side also has another adjustment, where the foot sits in the housing. It is behind a small cap, and there is another break off screw to remove to access it. It has a small allen, with a nut to lock it into place. by adjusting this, you can control where the foot starts at, with no boost applied.

Then all you have left is the starwheel, which controls preload on the spring. By increasing pre-load, the foot requires more boost to get out of the way of the plate. less preload (turning it towards the engine... ) allows the gov lever to contact the plate at lower boost, allowing more fuel.

Once you take it off and play with it, its pretty straightfoward.

Is swapping the exhaust housing to a 16cm unit on a HX35 considered a "Hybrid" ???

No, a hybrid is generally a 35 turbine side with a different compressor (I. E, 35/40, using an HX 40 comp on a 35 turbine. . )

I "believe" the PO of my truck had the Wastegate blocked off. I'll have to double check once I get my truck back from the shop (Looooooooong Story... . )

If so, how would that effect my situation when I add 370s ??

It may allow to much boost when you go to 370's. More than likely it will, you should already have low-mid 30's with just the #11. If it does, you may want a hobbs-switched wastegate like forrest.

Hope that helps some.
