2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission how to disable auto lock feature ...?

I find it very frustrating after driving down the street, getting out of my truck and then deciding to retrieve something from the passengers side... . I cant get in. Even though I just unlocked the truck a minute ago..... but I drove down the street.



Is it possible to disable the automatic door lock feature? It is more annoying to me than a benefit.



I tried to do a search for this info and came up short.



Thanks in advance to anyone offering advice.

I'm pretty sure you can. If you have an owners manual it should be in there. If you don't, I'll go grab mine and see if I can look it up for you.

I looked through my owners manual and haven't found it yet. If I do, I'll post it.

1. close all doors

2. place key in ign and cycle key off to on 4 times. Don't start engine.

3. press driver side power door lock switch to lock the doors within 30 seconds

4. you'll hear a single chime. Auto door lock is deactivated.

5. to enable, follow above steps.
