How to disable daytime headlights

My truck came equipped with daytime headlights as part of the Max tow package . Is there a way to disable them ?

Get AlfaOBD and a good Bluetooth OBD dongle like odblink MX. You Will also need an unlock cable such as this one from Deereguy https://www.ramforum.com/threads/2018-ram-security-module-bypass.125133/

Then you have a couple options. You can just turn them off or you can make them switchable from the 8.4 setup screen. You can also choose what lights will be the DRL rather than just using the high beams.

My wife's 2019 Ram 1500 4x4 actually has on off option in the menu for daytime running lights. I guess FCA is responding to customer wishes. Not an option on my 2017 5500. Ron

You can add the option with AlfaOBD. Don't need the unlock cable on a 17.

I like the daylight headlights. On two lane roads, headlights makes it easy to see if a vehicle is coming or going when trying to pass a slower moving vehicle.

Sent you a response. You want the Body Control Mocule. Connect to the module that contains your model year. Then on body module screen after you connect choose the active diagnostic screen (icon looks like a car with the hood up) .

Trying to understand why you would not want them. They are a great safety feature.
