Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) How to drain radiator?

How do I open the radiator drain cock? It doesn't want to move and I am afraid I will break it.

If it is the same as my 2005 I too couldn't get it to open or move. If I recall correctly... pull it outward first then turn it!

Turn to left 1/4 turn then pull out. Don't be surprised if it comes all the way out. All is not lost, you can re-install, check the O-ring to make sure it is ok before re-install if it does come all the way out. bg

Just did this same job, turn it slighly and then pull it out, may have to use a pliars. Might want to dig out a piece of tubing to go over the petcock...

I use the tubing also, that is a great suggestion, took me a minute to figger out the petcock too... ... ... ..... bp
