Say I just got done mowing a yard and my feet are on fire! How can I get the AC to blow on the floor position? I have no AC button, my 2001. 5 has max AC and normal AC switches on the selector. Both of these blow thru the dash vents?

My wife's Jeep GC does have the seperate AC switch and it blows nice and cold in any position. Has anyone tried to wire up a seperate AC switch? Is it possible?

Thank you,

Pat

I have a 2001. 5, if you turn the knob to the next spot after dash air ac , it blows thro the dash & floor the ac still works.

You could also add a switch to control the A\C. There were some posts in the past for a switch to disable the A\C in the defrost position. Do a search and see. I am planning on doing this to mine with the option for disabling the A\C,as well as being able to turn on the A\C in any outlet position.

The owners manual says...

What does it mean "may" below? I beleive only the first 2 positions has the condenser turned on? How do I get the dash/floor to blow cold? I don't have an "AC" button.

Hey Pat

I placed a temp gage in the panel and had air around 45 blowing out. Not sure what "May"means. I know the condenser was on.

I think what they are reffering to when they say they A\C "may" be on,is it will automatically cycle based on pressures is the system,so it could be on or off. Don't know why they don't phrase it that way for the other A\C positions though.
