Okay I thought I read on here somewhere that you have to cycle the key 3 times and then on th 4th time look at the mileage and the codes will appear in that place or is it in another place? I tried this a couple of days ago and wanst able to see any codes? Am I even doing it right? I just wanted to see if I had any codes set, the truck is running fine, just curious, or do I need one of the OBD readers thanks! :)

:D thanks I will give it a try tonight, If I dont get any codes then I should be okay ?

Not necessarily. But you stand a better chance. You should see the display change and still pop up a message. Note all messages and keep watching until the odometer returns in the screen. If you pull the key after it says done, you will have missed some of the message.

If for some reason you do have set codes, they will be preceded by either an E for ECM, or P for PCM. Then you have to find out what they are either asking here or going online to a site that has lists of codes.

Thanks diesel ,for the codes I didnt get a chance last night to try it tonight is the night, I will hope for the best! Oo.
