2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission How to get door panel off from mirror adjuster knob

I'm going to have to take the drivers door panel off and after looking it over I question how to get the mirriro adjuster knob off so the panel can come off.

pull the knob off and unscrew the ring, piece o cake
