how to identify axle

I can't find any numbers on the diff covers and all the tag says is to use trac loc additive. The service manual covers all rams and lists several differet axles. I've got a y2k 2500 4x4, with 5 speed. help!

Look at the Equipment Identification Plate inside the glovebox door.
