OK bombers.

If all I want is to get the best MPG out of my new HO while towing.

What would you do?

1) exhaust mod.
2) EZ/ DD's?
3) injectors.
4) over/under drives.
5) Air filters

Others

I haveheard this Cummins are deturned and it is EZ to get more HP, but what if MPG is the goal and any extra HP that comes with the mods would be a bonus.

TIA
Bob

I have an ETH and I added an EZ a couple months ago. So far I have not been under 18 mpg. The added power is a plus too. I also straight piped it, but it has been so long since I did that it is hard to remember if there was a milage improvement. That is all I have done so far.

Good mileage. Research on this site, discussions on EZ, injectors, power boost modules. Then you will have to deal with the heat issue as well, and evaluate mufflers. My choices were made by reading the commentaries and researching a variety of discussion threads on the subject. My choices are fairly conservative and are noted in the signature. But this is the best place to learn and evaluate the variety of approaches that have been taken. Benefits increased mpg in my case from 15 to 19 - 20 all around, conservative driver, towing from 9 to 13 mpg. Power, more than enough to keep the vehicle performing under load like a normal vehicle without a load and room to spare. Heat: guages a must and 4" muffler a good investment with lots of choices. Again, this TDR provides ample review and opportunity to reseach a variety of results and prices.

Ed

well, with my BOMBs (see sig) my best milage has been 18. 9 on the bombvoy to BD Dyno Days.
That is with 35' tires and a 2'leveling kit. I live over here in Hillsboro, and I will let you drive my truck if you want to see what a mildly BOMBed ETH drives like. #ad
