I just installed Lorenz 5100 Leveling kit, and it is AWESOME!!! Truck rides waaay better than the stock suspension. I can post some pics later. Now the enitre front end looks like it is a couple of inches off center from the rear wheels, which I heard is pretty common after a lift or leveling kit install.

I had bought the front end upgrade kit from poly performance which is the upper Carli balljoints, track bar and steering stablilzer. Everything else is installed but the track bar.

for those who have installed the track bar? how do you do so? How do you know when the front and rears axles are lined up? is the truck going to need an alignment afterwards? Any other pointer or tips to make the install easier?

Thanks in Advance!

The Carli bar should have come with the correct length, eye to eye in the instructions. I think it is 39. 25 inches. Measure, adjust. Put the correct space in the end with the urethane bushing. Mount the heim end to the axle then get someone to turn the steering wheel to line up the upper hole. Torque bolts to specs - very tight. You're done. I measured from the outside edge of the shock bucket to the outside of the tire. It was spot on with the above length. I still haven't been able to get any grease in the zerk fitting. I am gonna drive it a while and see if it'll loosen a bit.

The track bar won't necessitate an alignment of the front end. It will require you to re-center the steering wheel. It's easy, loosen the clamps on the tie rod that attaches to the pittman arm and rotate the collar until the steering wheel is straight. Tighten clamps.

The leveling kit springs will most definitely require an alignment. The taller springs will push the axle down and back requiring the caster to be pushed back out at the lower control arm. Congrats on some real suspension.

Your right Tinman, It was pretty much that easy. Steering wheel needed to be re-centered and that was it. I was suprised on how much better the truck handles. It really tightens up the front end and the new suspension even rides better!

For anyone who is either on the fence or just brousing about a suspension system, I would reccomend Lorenz. Also with the front end, I had purchased a kit from Poly performance which includes a steering dampener, Carli upper balljoints and Carli track bar. All the components really work very well togther. I'll post some pics for everyone!
