I bought some tuff country rear add a leafs and need to know how to install these babies since they did not come w/ instructions. I just got the front 2" spacers put in. Do I need to wait till I put the rear leafs on to align the front end?

Thanks

Rick

Typically, the add-a-leaf goes between the main leaf, and the rest of the pack.

You'll need to remove the u-bolts, lower the axle (support the frame accordingly), remove the center pin (from the spring pack) add the new leaf, install new centerpin, clamp all springs together while keeping the center pin in the holes, install new center pin nut, install u-bolts. It's easier if the spring is removed entirely, however it's extra work, and myself wouldn't.

I would call them, and ask which leaves the new leaf goes between.

I did the springs on my truck not too long ago and the install was not that bad. Skyjacker recommends installing the add-a-leaf between the bottom overload and the main spring pack. Just make sure you get yourself two big, heavy duty, c-clamps. Like Rob said, put the trucks frame on jack stands and keep the jack under the rear diff. Remove the u-bolts then lower down the rear axle. Take the two clamps and clamp them down next to the center pin. Remove the center pin. Slowly remove the c-clamps. Install the new spring in the factory spring pack according to Tuff Country. When the spring is in the right spot install new center pin loosely and pull the spring pack back together with the c-clamps while tightening the center pin as you go. Jack the axle back up and reinstall spacer blocks, making sure to re-align the blocks, and re-install the u-bolts. I think I remembered everthing.
