How to install Torque converter lockup switch?

I am thinking about installing a TC lockup switch 3 position but did a search and only found info on 12 valve 47 rh trannys. How can I do it on a 47re? Diagrams would be nice also. I checked a few transmission sights but found nothing. Any info would be appreciated.

Does anyone know if there is a kit sold to do this?

Thanks that is what I was looking for. I just need to figure out how to make it a 3 position switch. I was on tst"s sight and didn't see that.

I can't figure out the quote option to take quote from another thread so i'll just copy paste it.

This is what I want to do so I can have normal function yet. But I'm not sure where he tee's into the system to do this.

Check this out..... you can make one out of wire & a toggle switch.

Ok conflicting points here. Which one is right? the one in your link shows it works for 96-02.

notice the last sentence in 2nd paragraph of my link shows what appears to be same thing, but states it will not work on 99 and newer.

Has anyone actually done it and does it work on 99 and newer?

just when I thought I had it figured out:rolleyes: .

I put one on my 01 but I couldnt leave it alone. Plus I could not get used to the engine light on even knowing why. I have the switch in place and the wires can be quikly plugged in IF I ever dyno.

Thanks for the PMs rebelram and hendricks.

I already have the relay out and jumpered because I have a BD pressurelock on the rig. All I have is a code in the PCM for the transmission but I never get a CEL so for this reason I think that the simpler way of just teeing in a grounding switch will work fine for me.

BILLVO: I tried to PM you with the pics but couldnt figure it out. Then I was going to put them in my readers rigs but cant get into there now. Must be the new format. So here they are. I got the switch at Radio Shack. It is a three poll I think but I am using only two for the ground circuit.
