How to mark new posts in threads

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

OBD-II forum area? Anyone interested?

Whats old is new again?

At alldieselmotorsports the threads that have new posts flag so you can read any new posts without looking through everything. I am sure there is a way here just dont know how. Thanks

New posts have an arrow pointing down right at the beginning of the subject line. Click on that arrow and you'll be taken directly to the first new post on that thread. You can also view all of the posts in all of the forums that are new by pulling down the discussion forums menu to "view new posts". You can also customize which forums will show up on that list on the main forum page. Look to the left of each forum and you'll see an S in a circle - if that circle is grey posts in that forum will show up on searches by default (if your doing a manual search you can change that), if it's red with a slash through it then that forum won't show up on searches by default. Click on that S in a circle to change it. You can also tell if a specific forum has new posts or not by looking to the very left of the forum name, if you see the three grey dots then that forum has new posts - if they aren't there it doesn't. If you scroll down to the bottom of the forum list page you'll see a legend that tells you what the symbols mean.

To review the first few lines of a thread in a forum, one can 'hover' the cursor over the subject line to read the initial sentences, BUT, it only last a few seconds. Is it possible to have the preview (of the thread) stay up until the cursor position is moved?

I would like to be able to read all of the thread before it dis- appears and not have to keep repositioning the cursor every few seconds to bring it up again.
